SET YOUR RULES

01

Establish Context

Is today worth trading at all?

  • Is the broad market trending, or choppy and heavy? Any Fed or jobs report today?
  • How many clean gappers over 40 percent, and is one clearly leading?
  • Are you sharp today, or a little off?

Rule: If nothing is happening, walk away. A day off costs nothing.

02

Commit Before You Click

Decide it now, while you can still think.

  • Write down your max loss and your daily target.
  • Pick one shape for the day: A+ only, recovery, or sitting out.
  • Decide now what you will do if you break a rule. Stop for the day? Step away? Pick one.

Rule: The floor you set calm is the only one you will respect bleeding.

TRADE YOUR RULES

This part repeats, every trade, all day.

03

Before the Trade

Does this one qualify?

IS THE STOCK ANY GOOD?

  • Is the trend intact, or are you buying a bounce in a downtrend?
  • Is there real volume, or is no one really viewing this stock?
  • Is the spread tight, or will you be red the moment you fill?
  • Do the one-minute candles have enough range to work with?

SMALL CAP TRAPS

  • Can this company sell new stock into you today?
  • Is there real news behind this move, or is it running on nothing?
  • Is this early in the move, or after it already ran?

Rule: Great setups are obvious. If you have to convince yourself, it is not there.

The Gate

If it fails the second you are in, can you take that loss and be fine? If no, do not enter.

04

Manage the Trade

Trade like a defender, not an attacker.

  • Know where you are getting out before you are in.
  • The stop is the stop. You do not negotiate with it.
  • Extension is not opportunity.

Rule: Rules over gut. Gut over hope.

In MAKETZO: Edge and Pulse timing

05

After the Trade

The next click gets decided right here.

  • Name the setup and write what happened, while you still remember why.
  • A loss is a fact, not a debt. The market does not owe you.
  • If you are speeding up or forcing things, pause and reset.

Rule: Do not try to make it all back today. Journal every setup you take. Your own record will tell you which of yours works over time.

When one of them says stop, that is not a new decision. You made it before your first trade.

REVIEW YOUR RULES

06

Close the Day

Where traders actually win and lose.

  • Green: the only job left is not giving it back.
  • Red: the floor you signed is the floor. Today is over.
  • Score how you traded, not what you made. Then journal the one thing you will focus on tomorrow.

Rule: Grade the process. The money follows it, not the other way round.

In MAKETZO: The Debrief, Picard Score

Environment Over Setup

Patience creates opportunity.

Defense Over Offense

Protect the day, every day.

Small Losses Win

Avoid the big one. Time does the rest.
